Privacy policy
Cobalt Prosper has no accounts and no email capture for marketing. Our calculators run entirely in your browser: the figures you type are never sent to us or stored anywhere. The one form on the site is the contact form, which sends us only what you type into it. The site uses cookieless analytics and, once advertising is enabled, will show ads served by Google AdSense, which uses cookies as described below.
What we collect
Nothing you type. Calculator inputs are processed in your browser by JavaScript and are not transmitted to our servers.
Standard server logs. Our hosting providers (Railway) and content delivery network (Cloudflare) record standard technical logs such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested, used for security and operations and retained per those providers' policies.
Aggregate analytics. We use Ahrefs Web Analytics, a cookieless analytics tool that reports aggregate page views and referrers. It does not set cookies and does not build profiles of individual visitors.
The contact form. When you send a message through the contact page, we receive the name, email address, and message you typed, along with basic technical context (browser, language, timezone, and the page you wrote from, with any query strings removed). It goes to our support system (AcornReply) so we can reply, is used only for handling your message, and is never used for marketing.
Advertising
The site is supported by display advertising. We use, or will use, Google AdSense. Google and its partners are third-party vendors that use cookies, including the DoubleClick cookie, to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings, and opt out of many third-party advertising cookies at aboutads.info. Where required by law, a consent banner lets you choose whether advertising cookies are used at all; declining still gives you the full site.
Cookies
The site itself sets no cookies. Advertising, when enabled, may set cookies as described above, governed by the consent choices offered in your region.
Third-party links
Pages link to primary sources (such as irs.gov, ssa.gov, studentaid.gov, and state agency sites) and occasionally to other publishers. Their privacy practices are their own.
Children
The site is a personal-finance reference intended for adults and does not knowingly collect information from children.
